I have a 1992 Dodge Dakota Club Cab with the 3.9 V6 and an automatic transmission. It seems to be the worst possible combination for a fast truck. Is it worth modifying, or should I try to find a different vehicle?
How much do regular cab Dakotas weigh (Gen II)?

2001 Dakota RC Sport Plus V6 5 Speed 2wd. It weights 3700lbs.
gen 2 is about 300 lbs lighter
every 100 pounds is about a tenth in the quarter
