Subject: Who makes a good catback system? IP: Logged
Message: I've got a 93' 3.9 V6 SC Dakota and I'm looking to put an exhaust system on. I don't care if it's single or dual, either is fine as long as it will up my performance and still look nice too. The only catback systems I have found are Pacesetter duals (which look kinda cheesy w/ those tapered tips) and the Gibson single outlet behind the wheel, are there any more for my application? Let me know what has worked for you!

Message: buy a flowmaster muffler and get a local muffler guy to put it on in place of your stock one and tell him where you want the tip(s) to come out.

Message: I have a SS Gibson single side sweep. I installed it myself. I did have some difficulty removing the old muffler and leaving enough of the stock pipe to attach the gibson onto. The gibson bolted up to all the stock hangers and sounds great. Good quality. It took me about 2hrs. Most of it was to remove the old system. What ever catback system you choose, they are all perform very similiar. Your sound preference will determine what system you'll get. Good luck.
