Message: Entirely in-town I was running 14.5 stock in the summer, and around 16.5 in the winter in Dallas. Reformulated gas. 20's amazing to me; I broke 20 once, on the backroads, after my mods. Wires made the vastly largest difference, oddly enough. Now do 16-18 summer, 17-19 winter.
My foot's in it, though.

Message: I run highway almost exclusively, and for the first 6 months was getting about between 19 & 19.5 in my '00 sport+. Then I put a cap on & went to the low 18s for a year. All that was back in VA. Then moved to Vegas (high altitude & HOT) & lost more. Started pingin' too, so upped the octane. Since I'm driving > 150 miles/day I wanted improvement. Tried Tornado Air & seemed to get some improvement...averaged 18.6 for 4k+ miles.
Recently added powerstack2 (no more tornado), 3923s, & Dynomax & am showing low to mid 19s for the first 200 miles. Not too bad considering it's an avg. speed of 64mph door to door. The vast majority of the time is w/cruise set at 80. Since I'm getting reimbursed for my miliage here, mods that improve miliage pay for themselves quick.
Interesting that Z saw improvement from wires...I was thinking cap/rotor/wires wouldn't be worth it...but if it could pay off...

Message: I personally have seen a slight increase since my mods. I am currently getting anywhere between 20.0 to 22.0 mpg, depending on how heavy my foot is. I love the fact that these mods not only seem to give my dak a little more umph, but it also added to my mileage. I drive roundtrip 5 days a week 216 miles to work, mostly highway miles, I am sure the hiway miles are a huge factor in my mileage. My step will probably be the wires, cap, etc. I am itchin for a tb, that will be in near future I hope
Will work for mods..

Message: I have a stick and average 18.5 mpg in mostly city driving. I can peak 25 mpg on straight hall on highway but keep it just below 60 in 5 th gear. Hey we run heavy tires with wide tread it sucks the gas up. Need improvement on gas get a light cover on the box, run smaller tires it all adds up and keep the windows up.
