I have a '99 V6 Dakota, and I really want more horsepower. Are there any good superchargers out there that could give me a good increase of horsepower?

Vortech, Paxton, and Powerdyne all can be easily modified to fit the 3.9L.

Bernd where the heck have you been hiding??

Question, what needs to be modified on the powerdyne kit, also which kit do I need for a 2001? I see there is 2 kits. I belive one goes to 1999, and the other goes up from there. Its been a while since I worked for Dodge, But I was under the inpression the 318 and the 360 have been basicly the same from 97 other than senors. like I said its been a few years, you being a guru most likely know sonthing I don't. Thanks.

you have to shorten the plastic intake tube that goes from the supercharger to airhat.

we need superchargers for these motors that would give us more then just 6 psi or 10, why are there non that run like 15-20 then these heavy ass truck would start to move...look at that truck that post on here it runs 10 psi and a shot of nitrous and its only in the 14's and for the most parts its in the 15's thats a joke! these motors need more boost then 6-10 psi a intake manifold wish edelbrock would stop being gay and make one, and better heads!

If you are serious about a S/C just call Marty
at KRC and talk to him.

What you need to do is figure out from your time
zone when its lunch time in Florida and call him
and he will be out to lunch just leave your name
and # so he calls you back.

Once you get Marty going you will be on the phone
for a half hour minimum, Trust me it has happened
to me many times while talking with him about the
mopar V6's

He's just as bad or worse than me when you start
talking about mopar performance

if you would like to spend over 2k to still only run 15's be my guest ill laugh at ya all day long. which is why we need more boost for our motors. im starting to think a turbo would be much more benificial <~~i cant spell, becuase you can get more boost out of them and prob trap at a higher speed..you would need alittle nitrous if you couldent handle the lag but eather way i think it would post better times then the supercharger.when you can just add a super charger and get into the mid 14's then they will impress me and start being worth the $.

S/C or turbo, you cant run that much boost without some major engine build-up.
And you can run 20 psi with a s/c. Just put on a differnent pully. And of corse have a blower that will make that much boost.
IMHO boosting a v6 is totaly not worth it. You'd need to dump about 6-7 g's just to get anything respectable. And thats not counting the rest of the driveline.
