Message: (scratches head). Supercharged and nitrous and only running 15 to 14's. Wondering if your trucks are automatics. As far as supercharging the v6 dakota. Well its always gonna be a issue becaue non of the companies refuse to make one for the truck. Every manufacturer that i talk to say they dont get enough requests to even think about making a application. Funny when you think about it. The ford ranger automatically comes with a 4 banger and so dos the s10. The dakota come with a v6. You have to special order the 4banger for the dakota. Must be alot of people ordering s10 and ranger with v6's. Unless you have a 4*4 ranger or s10. I dont think that an application will ever be made. From my research on the issue i have found that alot of manufacturers are purposely stearing away from the v6 dakota. Why im not sure maybe it has something to do with daimler crhysler. I will keep researching on this and hopefully ill someday ill have some good news. (Dont try to call daimler chrysler about supercharging it they seem to like to put you on hold.) As far as an application im curently in the talks with powerdyne. There v8 applications are bye far the closet to what your looking for. As in modifying it and changing things powerdyne is the way to go. But the others ones can be modified i just found powerdyne to be less time consuming then the others. I recommend powerdyne for those who arent as familier with supercahrgers. Well im off ill give some new news as soon as i get it.

Message: I have a '94 that has a Powerdyne on it. I have also done quite a few other mods to the engine that has made this thing run flat 14s, to high 13s. There is much that can be done to the underrated V6 if you have the time and money. If you are mechanically inclined, you can do a lot of things yourself to get some big gains. My truck without a blower would run high 14s, and with it it knocked off a near full second. It helps if you know what you are doing, or know someone who does. Go to KRC performance or to www.hughesengines.com for a great list of mods. Hughes Engines has a lot of simple mods listed that you can do yourself to help out your V6 that will cost little, and you can go further as money will allow. He has a Tech article devoted to modifying the V6.

Message: My friend has a 98 V6 dakota, and just for fun I've been searching for supercharge kits for his truck.
I've searched Vortech and Powerdyne's websites and found no applications that fit the V6 dakota. Where are you finding these??
