 Subject: Gibson stainless or Alumminized?

Hey,
I am planning on getting Gibson split rear for my Kota. Now, granted my truck is still being repaired from the accident, but I was going to buy the alumminzed cause I am a cheapskate, and can afford $289. Now should I actually save up the other money and get the stainless? Whats different about alummminzed and stainless? Will I see a difference in performance?

not so much in performance but in longevity
depends do u wan to spend another 289 in a year or two or three? depending on where u live

how long are you planning on keepin the truck and what year is it. if the truck is old and you are not giong to keep it go with the cheeper exhaust otherwhise the exhaust will outlast the truck other than that for the extra couple of hundred i say get the stainless steel.

I've had my truck since February and had the aluminized Gibson exhaust installed in early may. The welds are rusting already... I expect the exhaust to hold out at least a couple more years before I have to replace it. I'd go with the stainless. When it comes time to replace the the exhaust I might try something else. There's nothing wrong with Gibson... I just like to try new things. =)

Mightdaksxt === Where did you get your V8 TB and was it hard to mount to the '02 V6? Are you seeing real performance?
