 Subject: Sounds like diesel on hills & heavy load

Under normal driving conditions, my 2000 V6 3.9L quadcab sounds like a diesel when I step on the gas or under heavy load going up hills. Anyone know what the problem could be ..... and no it's not the gas.

even "brand name" gas can be a bit low in octane and yes you probably have a dealer willing to accept lower then advertised gas octane and selling it at higher octane prices. Happens all the time. I used to drive a tanker semi so I know the "real facts". Either that or you got a full load of carbon on your heads or even the wrong plugs.

my 2000 dakota 3.9 does the same thing try running medium grade gas every other tank full really fixed my 3.9 diesel lol
