Message: You don't say weather it is the clutch or the whole tranny?
In any case, if the problem is clutch related, that is quite typical for OEM clutches. The parts are cheap. I drive a Ferd Power Stroke as a work truck, 4 spd with OD and at 51K the clutch died. Cost was about 1200 for repairs.
The most expensive part will be the fly wheel. If it can't be turned, you will have no other option but to replace.
Good Luck.

Message: If it was the AX-15 trans then it's because it was designed by mitsubishi and has thin light wieght crappy bearings in it. Clean oil is the only thing between running fine and repair time.
Mine was dying, so I traded it for an R/T. I feel sorry for who ever bought that truck, I'm sure they will hate Dodge for that.

Just kidding....
Cheap bearings and clutch disc are the most common causes for clutch failure. Spend the money to have a GOOD clutch installed and you will never worry about it again.

Message: You would have to let us know whats bad or what it's doing. If it's grinding into gears, then it could be your driving (no offense) or metal pieces cirulating around in the oil. It can be fixed pretty easily, but if you don't have the equipment to do it the labor is expensive. You could probably but one from a junkyard and have it installed for 4 or 5 hours labor.

Message: Yeah the $1200 for a used tranny was what sent me down to the ol Chevy dealer, to rescue an R/T I seen there.
My Trans locked in reverse and I ripped it out, tore the tranny down and found nothing. While I was looking inside I did see the joke of what the pass as bearings. A rebuild kit is surprisingly cheap but I didn't want to do a rebuild.
Oh well,
I feel for ya. Be good to the Mopar Gods!
