anyone have any opinions as to what brand of everything to use? I am wanting to flush out everything and putting in al new stuff, I just turned 40,000 miles. Any suggestions would be great. I know this is going to sound dumb, but I have never had a vehicle worth doing any of this to, so I have never performed any basic maitenence. What all fluids do I change, and how do I flush the radiator. Thanks.

Low99dakota,

Keep changing the oil every 3000. I say 10w30 penziol since you are at 40,000 unless you have been using something else(synthetic or other brand) I would have the transmission fluid done at the dealer or get the fluid from the dealer, i have heard that these dodge trannies are pickey,
as for the coolant depending on where you live use 50/50 water to coolant mix. check out this link http://www.diynet.com/DIY/article/0,2058,3003,00.html

hope this helps

I watched a show on tv a few weeks ago on that speed channel. They took a new camaro, v8 engine. drained all but tranny fluid, replaced with full synthtic crap, and it "gained" 3-5hp. To me not worth the $$, but if your for full power, just a little tip.
