Subject: Ignition and Spark P.?'s IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1990 2wd Dak with the 3.9L V6. I want to increase my Hp with any mod possible. I am looking at installing a new ing. system and want to know about What components to replace that will positively effect my HP?
I also want info on spark plugs and wires and what size wire, and gap I should use. Thanks alot for your help.
Just for info, I have a homebrew K&N cold air intake, flowmaster dual exhaust, soon (Over Thanks giving) to have Edlebrock headers, and a Jacobs Ing. Coil. Also am going to remove the funky CAT soon.
Thanks again, Joe E.

Message: Recommend the MSD-6 (P/N#6200) with a set of quality wires. The gap with the MSD systems is .005" to .010" larger than stock. You can go larger, but you'll need a strong coil to handle the larger gap on the plugs.

Message: What about the Jacobs Coil? Is it a quality coil or is it junk? When you say "quality wires" what brand would you recomend? Thanks for the help Bernard. Your a great guy and a very knowledgable Dak owner. Thanks again.
Joe E.
