hi everyone i have a 2000 dakota quad cab v-6 2-wheel drive, with 45,000 miles on it. i have read most of the post about the problems with o.e.m. ball joints. would like to replace them with moogs. but after talking to a summit racing tech rep.he said only had listings up to 1999 dakota's.
gave me phone # for moog tech rep. he said the same thing. would not tell me if the 1999 moog part #'s would fit on my 2000 quad. said front office was aware of problem. does anyone have an idea if the 1999 ball jionts will fit?

napa sells ball joints for new daks. that is where i got mine 65 buck each.

daksport, you bought yours for $65 bucks a piece. Meaning just for one side, upper or lower. Or was this for both upper and lower. Otherwise that's pretty expensive. I got both upper and lower moogs for both sides for $135.

hi everyone thanks fot the post. napa auto parts in my town does not carry moog ball joints. the parts they ordered for me were not greaseable. had to pay for them up front but they were cool and gave my money back. i ordered the ball joints from www.rockauto.com but they are for a 1999 quad,i have a 2000 quad hope they fit. the dealer wanted to sell me control arms with the upper ball joints. told him my control arms were ok, said thats how they sell them - as a unit. auto zone,advance auto parts, only sell the lowers but their's are not greaseable. moog tech rep couldn't tell me what years are interchanagble.
should have new parts in soon will follow up on this. thanks
