I want to eventually do this mod. Exactly what do I need to complete this mod? I really know nothing about this so all knowledge that could be passed to me would help alot, thanks.

You'll need a V8 TB (obviously), a TB gasket, and a V8 throttle cable. Simple mod to do.
2002 SXT, 3.9 Liter V6, RC, 5-speed, 3.55 rear, Extang Tonneau, Autolite 3923 Plugs, Borg Warner Cap & Rotor, Quick D Intake, Modified V8 TB, Gibson Catback Exhaust, Robert Shaw 180 Degree T-stat, Custom Grille

depends on what brand, and where you get the tb from. tb cost 45-300, cable cost 22-40, gasket cost around 1-2.

I have yet to do this but from reading
1. Tb off 96-2000 5.2l or 5.9l ram or dakota
2. Cable, 97+ 5.2l or 5.9l DAKOTA
3. Gasket, about above years 3.9, 5.2, 5.9 ram or dakota
Am I correct peps??

Dale,
I have found a V8 TB off of 5.2L, that is listed coming off a 1997 150 series Dodge truck.
What I was wondering, is this still considered a Magnum?
It's not a bad price, pretty cheap actually, but if it's not a mag then I don't want it.
Just thought I would ask, I don't trust some of the kids they put behind the counter to often.

'93 and up 5.2 and 5.9 (don't use 4.7, it's different) TB's will work for what you are looking for. Yes these are magnums. Speedtweaks has the throttle cable that is needed to put the V8 TB on your 3.9.
