Message: I stop today & filled my truck up with gas & drove about a quarter mile & it died.Tried to start it & all it would do is sputter. So I called Dodge to come get my truck.I have the extended warrenty. So they towed my truck to the dodge repair shop.I went by there & the gas they pulled out of my tank look like mudwater. The estimate to repair it is $1500.00.Their saying I need to replace the fuel pump(that's $500.00)plus to flush all the lines & fuel rails.I went back to where I bought the gas(thank goodness I put it on the credit card or I never would of got a reciept)& they pulled a sample of yhe gas & it looked cleaned. But yet the gas in my tank sure wasn't when I filled up.I filed a report with the place I bought the gas & they said thet had to run test on the gas & they'll let me know the results. My truck had a quarter tank when I got to the gas pumps & was runnin fine.I've had this Dakota a year & it's never missed a beat.So I know damn well it;s that junky gas I got today at(Stop-N-Go in Houston Tx. on Uvalde)I always get my gas there & have never had a problem up till now.Needless to say I hope they take care of this matter or this could get real nasty.Cause if I have to wind up paying for it out of my pocket Stop-N-Go is gonna have a hell of a lawsuit agaist them. Was wondering if anyone has been involved in any similar situtations. Thanks for the help.
