Subject: intake manifold mod IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1994 dakota, and I am going to port/polish the manifold. From all the post I have read on this, I have a good idea what to do. The question is my manifold has the EGR tube in the Plenum. Do you recommend cutting that out, if so how far should I go down. Second what would be the benifits for removing that tube and plugging it up or should I just leave that alone.
Thank You to all

I'm not sure if you can cut the EGR out of the emissions system or not, but it would be easier if you kept it. I don't see how ommitting it would generate any more hp/torque.
I don't know if you've seen this page or not, but it goes into detail about modding your intake and it covers intakes with EGR ports.

On another note, I have an extra manifold that would fit your Dak (I bought it before I realized there was a difference between years) if you want one to modify while still running your current one.

Message: thank you anyways intense but I already purchased a spare for it to mod. I am still wondering though if I would get anymore hp/torgue if i removed it. Or would it just hurt the performance.
