well i have to say the powertrax, 4.10 combo is pretty mean. in my opinion it blows the throttle body away performance-wise. the truck pulls noticibly harder at every rpm. and i can hit 0-100 ALOT faster than with the 3.55's. the only problem i have is that everytime i launch into first i have bad wheel hop, i need some trac bars. and the burnouts are sick, i never thought my dakota could make that much smoke pour from the tires. great mod.

hey man..what are the specs on your truck? auto or manuel? I'm trying to decide between 4.10's and 3.92's. What kinda rpms are ya running on the highway at say 80mph?

Justin I noticed at your web site that you have the Intense Air Intake and relocated your IAT sensor. I just installed my Intense Air Intake and would like to know if you supported yours in anyway to keep it more stable? Also where did you relocate your IAT sensor to, I would like to do mine but was afraid of drilling the ceramic coated tube.
By the way your truck is sharp.

I cant wait myself, I got the bed off today and should have my 8 3/4 rear with 4.10's in by the end of this weekend.

dodgeboy- its an auto
the gas milage isnt too bad, i can tell its not as good, but im not really worried about it. the truck used to shift into second at about 70mph, now it shifts into second at 60mph. it pulls extremely hard right off the line and it pulls very well from 60mph to, this is by far the best mod i've gotten yet.

yes it shifts into second at just under 60mph at the usuall 4800 rpm

alright for those who dont know anything about gears.....
by getting rid of my 3.55's and getting 4.10's i have made the acceleration in my truck faster but sacrificed my top speed, each gear revs out faster, and has what you could say a "tighter" gear ratio, instead of having 1,2,3 and 4 spaced out at the stock ratio, i now have gears that are closer together, which means i can go through them faster. i can still hit speeds over 100mph but it doesnt take as long to get there.
i raced a stock cc R/T last night and it was very interesting, from the line i could take him about a truck length, but once we were cruisin niether of us could pull away, i went up to 110 with this guy, and when we pulled into the gas station he told me he was very surprised with the power of a six cylinder dakota. I raced a stock rc R/T to and the guy raped me, figures, lol

Did you ever change your speedo gear or have the comp readjusted for the 4.10's?
If not than your not going as fast as your speedo indicates. Thats why your shifting @60, its really like 40 to 45.

Ya I was pulled over the other day the cop said I was going 37 in a 30 but I was right on 30 and it shouldn't be off that much he was wrong because I had him sit back a mile or so and I went by at 30 and he clocked me at 34 and all I have done to my truck ratio wise is go from 75 series tires to 60 but I am thinking about a different gear ratio soon. Oh ya and I got out of the ticket.
