Message:
I just installed my air intake today and was wondering if anyone has made a bracket to support the intake tube? It appears that it will eventually shake down where the filter will rest upon the fenderwell. Also I would like to relocate the IAT sensor but was afraid to drill the ceramice coated tube. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks
Art

Go ahead and drill it! It wont damage the coat, just dont let the drill walk on you, center punch it first(easy like). If you tighten the clamps onto the hose and air hat real good, it wont move.(make sure the tube is into the airhat as per instructions) Mine hasn't moved in three or so months so i dont think it will any time soon! oh and there is no bracket needed or sold for it.I ask the same ? before i went to buy mine.

hope this helps and good luck!

Did you tap the hole in the tube after drilled it. What size of bit and tap.

Thanks

no but you might want to because it was a little hard getting in. i only did it that way because i was in a hurry and didn't have a tap. i made the hole a litte bigger by reeming it.you'll have to look it up on a tap chart to get the right size tap it's pipe thread(don't have that chart on hand, sorry!)
