Message: depends on the material. If its plastic, or something soft, drill a little smaller, and self tap it in their. If its steal, aluminum, etc, you will have to hunt for a tap, mine cost like 5 bux. I dont suggest just "glueing" it in. Use some kind of threads!!

Message: When I drilled the hole in my intake tube, I made it a little smaller. Then I screwed the plug, that I used to put in place of the IAT sensor, into the intake tube to make sure the sensor would fit snuggly. After unscrewing the plug from the intake tube I screwed the IAT sensor into the itnake tube and it fit like a glove.

Message: I've read these posts and the great info at Supertweaks, but I still don't know why you would move the IAT in the first place? What do you get out of it? Also when we talk about intake tube, do we mean the black plastic tube coming from my air filter box into the top of the TB?

Message: well you move the iat because if the computer can detect that the intake air is a little colder than what it should be it will compensate and allow the motor to open up a little more (someone correct me if im wrong) i hear its good for 5hp, not bad for a free mod.
Jack- yes that tube connecting you air box to your air hat above the tb is the intake tube.
