 Subject: Fast idle

My truck is hard to start and has no fast idle.But at times after a short drive will idle fast.I am told its caused by 1 of 3 sensors.Any ideas? 1992 6 cyl.

IAC valve in the back of the throttle body.
I've run into the same problem before.
