The intake and exhaust (on the average) will gain you about 10HP at the rear wheels. Factory rating being 175HP at the crank and (model depending) 138-142HP at the rear wheels.

Since you've got the intake and exhaust system now, swap out to a V8 throttle body (or modified 48mm) and your V6 will really wake up. :)

The V8 swap (with factory TB) runs $220 and includes cable, TB (with new IAC and TPS sensor), and gasket. Complete, ready to bolt-on kit.

The ASP crank pulley is all that's required for normal stree use unless your primarily using the truck for racing at the track.

A good set of 8mm (or 9mm) wires will help but are not HP increasers...unless your existing set is worn out. They're mainly used with headers or when underhood heat is higher than normal (as with Stainless Steel headers). Ceramic coated headers will help reduce underhood heat.

What about Gen I TB's? Is there any way to swap them out to gain HP? About headers, I am buying a set of Edlebrock 3.9L headers. Is it worth the effort to buy and wrap them in Exhaust wrap? My 1990 2wd Dak is alittle bogged down due to the 31's I run. I am trying anything to increase HP. Thanks for the help. Any advice is appreciated.

So far I have got a homebrew K&N cold air intake, flowmaster exhaust w/ dual pipes. Soon t have headers and Jacobs Ing. Coil.

Messa: Check the TV cable adjustment (one of the tips on SpeedTweaks)

Joe: No.,..the exhaust wrap is mainly for folks who change the headers on a regular basis or can afford to change them on a regular basis. The wrap is known to "cook" headers. (Happened to my old BB Chevy headers with the "Header Wrap". Mopar Performance has a lot of go-fast goodies for the 88-90 V6's.

I have a 1993 Dakota V-6 and was wondering what the prices would be to switch over to a V-8 throttle body. And does the price include the throttle body?

Price includes: Throttle Body, New TPS and IAC, gasket, cable, and instructions. I'd have to check on the V8 throttle body for the '93 though...it may be a special order item.
