YeeeeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaaaaw!!
The new/ported heads are back on the V6...and WHAT a difference! :) Rev's all the way to the redline (5500rpm) without even skipping a beat, idles nice and smooth, and the powerband is from about 1200-5300...pulls the entire range.
Hey Greg...just wait until the Turbo is on now. I'll race your little S/C'd Dak! LOL

They did the same cleanup as the R/T Heads that were int he shop...plus a few extras. You can definitely tell that these are not stock heads anymore.

companies that are better for 6cyl. cams? Who
makes a really good 360 cam?
Intense Greg, I dunno about that exhaust port, it
would probably look real good in those turbo
shorts:P
dodgeboy : Did you find out if your friend still
has the PCM & harness, and what kind of $$$ he
wants? Do they have to be engine year specific, or
truck model year specific. The motor is a 98, my
truck is a 97.

Message: Lesley,
I went with a (KRC Performance Label) CompCams grind:
.472"/.480" Lift - 200/206 Duration at .050"
Has good bottom end TQ with power from off-idle to 5000rpm. I was using the 1.7:1 rollers but they were too large of a ratio for the lift (advertised lift is with 1.5:1) so I stuck my old Crower 1.6:1 rollers back on (puts it at 504/512 lift). The idle is smooth as well.
On the V8 cams...CompCams has quite a few custom grinds for the 318/360's that work rather well.

Message: Thanks Bernd, that's probably the first thing I
will do.
I'm pretty confused as to the pcm issue though.
Basically I will have 2 pcms, neither of which
will be useable on my truck, assuming that I do
make the swap. Can either of them be re-flashed?
The engine I bought is a 98 and comes with pcm and
wiring harness. Is it possible to do a core
exchange with a dealership to obtain a correct
pcm? Is there that much difference between the
model years, or is the instrumentation of the V6
that much different?
How in heck do the guys who put 440s and hemis
into their trucks get around this? :

the turbo's reserve is at $200. Its rebuilt and i cleaned it all up (really dusty) and oiled it and put some 1500 degree ceramic paint on the turbine and bought a new compressor housing and polished it... i spent a total of $200 so i am just looking to get that back.

Message: Jesse: I haven't had enough time to fix all of the "issues" with the classifieds page as there is a new form that is easier to post and a much more defined "legal disclaimer" to prevent future problems (as we did with a few buyers/sellers). It'll be up but need to actually set aside some time (about four to five hours) on it (and a few other updates to the website).
