Subject: Performance clutch? IP: Logged
Message: My clutch is slipping pretty bad after 72,000 hard miles. I've only had the truck for 5K but i can assume the old owner beat the crap out of it because it came used with a hood scoop and performance exhaust.
I was thinking of a Centerforce Duel friction, but i can get parts from the dodge dealer at 10% over dealer cost (as opposed to the 200% over cost that a regular customer pays). So i'm wondering if Mopar has a performance clutch for the 3.9L? If not, how many ponies can a OE replacement handle? I don't plan on running more than 300HP (including nitrous) anytime soon.

Message: jon, go with the centerforce duel-fric. I put one in my 94 v6 for roadracing. It works great, you wont be sorry you spent the money for it.
