For all the people who have clear corners, how hard are they to install? Mine should be hre by Monday, and i am just wondering how long it will take to install them. Kind of another dumb question...how hard are the spark plugs to change? Do the wires just pop off, and then you can get that heat shield off? Any help is appriciated.

If you have the proper torx driver (10 I think...) and the bulbs already, it should take about 5 minutes to do both. :0)
The Spark plugs are a little harder, since if they are factory the *#&@ing things are -really- in there. Besides that, not too bad. You'll have to be a little creative to get the back pair, since the AC condenser is on one side and the brake equipment on the other. That said, getting the old ones out is the hardest part.

Can you use something besides a torx driver? When i looked yesterday, it looks like the factory corners are held in with allen or star bolts. What do you think?

Like Todd says the factory plugs are tight, I broke the tops off 3 trying to get them out just make sure you have some air to blow out the bits & pieces

put mine in today! and it took 5 minutes once i got the right torx! Just take out that one torx screw and then pull the piece out! Turn the bulbs holders counter clockwise and then pull them out. Yank out the old bulbs and replace the old ones and presto.
now you know thats..................

If you are going to replace your spark plugs, do yourself a favor and spend the extra buck for a tube of anti-sieze. Put some anit-sieze around the threads of the new plugs and install them.
The next time you have to replace the plugs, they will come out easier.

You know Intense, as soon as i posted my last post, i realized how dumb of a question that was about the torx wrench. I helped a friend change headers on his F-150 yesterday, and I've got TORQUE wrench on my mind! Thanks for the help guys. I should get the clear corners on Monday, then ill post the pics so you all can see how you helped me get them in ;-)

hey dan,
what kind of air filter is that your running and what deminsions.. i wanan get me one but dont have the money to put a new hood with the raised center!!! did you do that for the hell of it or was that sorta required in order to fit your air cleaner under there?
oh ya .. were'd ya buy it at and @ what cost?

My air filter is a K&N 10"x2", inside a 10" Holley-Weiand canister. Picked them both up at Advance Auto for around $60 all together. The filter sat underneath the stock hood fine. I wanted to get a 12" filter, but it wouldnt clear the firewall. I put the cowl induction hood on for the heck of it. I like the way it looks. I thought of putting the cowl hood on way before I thought of the open element filter. Although the cowl hood only works properly at speeds above 45-50 mph, I thought an open element filter would be best under a cowl hood. The underside of the cowl hood is exactly the same as the underside of the stock hood, so no difference there.

As promised, got the pics up of the clear corners. Thanks for all the advice on installing them. I got them put in about 10 minutes after the UPS guy delivered them. My girlfriend thinks I'm obsessed. What do you think? ;-) It took about 5 minutes to change them out, just like you guys suggested. Thanks again for the help.
