 Subject: Sparco seats

I have a 99' RC dak and i was wondering what it would look like to take the center console out and replace the two bucket seats with Sparco racing seats with the 5 point harness. Anyone have any info on what this would look like.

I think it would look good. I think someone on these boards has seats out of a viper in his truck, they would probably be similar. Just a word of caution though, i don't think 5 point harnesses are legal for street use, at least not all states. Car seatbelts are designed to be unbuckled or cut through easily in an accident. I've heard that since the harness are harder to unbuckle or cut through they are illegal for street use. At least thats what i've heard. Even though i would prefer to be wearing a harness in an accident.

strap into a 5 point? I sometimes hate just
strapping in the reg ones.

I have Corbeau GT seats in my Dak. I kept the center console in for awhile untill I put the NX Express bottle in its place. Corbeau seats are easy to put in because they also make a custom bracket for the Daks.

well, i just got done putting in 01 sebring leather seats in mine...i'm building a custom center consol right now. kinda like chuck's at intense99dak.com many have done the vipe seats. I've heard they are not comfortable but they do go in nice. you can use the stock tracks and bolt the seats to it...you may need to raise the seat a few inches though.
i prefer my sebring seats even though they required a lot more custom work...they are so nice to sit in on long drives :)
