Message: jack up the back of your truck...have a friend slowly spin one of the back tires..whichever one turns the drive shaft ( its gotta be in neutral to do it) and watch how many rotations of the drive shaft it takes to make one complete rotation of your tire....ie: 3 and a half drive shaft rotations to one tire rotation means 3.55 gear ratio.
If I remeber correctly, Mopar used to put a tag on one of the bolts that holds the rear cover on, it had the ratio stamped on it too.

Message: I must admit, jacking up the back of the truck never came to mind, but that is very clever. Get a measurement from what you are measuring. What a smart fmart feller that "Daktout" is! Thanks guys! Gimme a day or 2 to think of a new dumb question.

Message: there should also be a tag on the driver's side axle tube next to the wheel that says the gear ratio and if its open or limit slip
