Message: I put the correct injectors in my truck this AM, used oil on the o-rings. Installation was a breeze. But now when I give it gas its VERY shuddry, somewhat like maybe missing a cylinder. I checked all my plugs, and they seem to be fine. Is this what what it takes 50-100 miles to work out, or do I have a bad injector?? Whats best way to tell I have a bad injector? I only have 2 spares. I need to drive my truck in the afternoon, So I need this fixed fast. Thanks

Message: From my understanding you are -not- supposed to give it gas for a few minutes, to allow the computer to get used to the idle characteristics and adjust it out. Also, did you reset the computer? You might want to double check the electrical connections, make sure you have the correct plugs on the right injectors.

Message: i agree with Tod, i have read several posts that put wrong hookups on the reinstall. and this is not uncommon even with the best mechanics. and from the way u describe the problem it matches what the put in their posts. worth cking into. just my humble opinion. good luck :)

Message: I went out and check the wires like you suggested, they are on correct. I did dx the battery for about 2 min. However I did let it idle for about 30 sec. then started to give it gas. Do I need to dx the battery again, and then let it idle for a few min?? Thanks for the Help

Message: I would let it idle for a few, and while you are waiting lean over all of the injectors and be sure that none have any puddles of gas forming around them. If everything looks alright then you are gonna have to take an extra injector and replace 1 injector at a time. Sorry I can't help you more. Keep us posted on what it is doing and what you have done to fix it.

Message: Your saying you Dx the battery for 2 min, but did you turn the key to start (for 30 sec.)to drain any capacitors on the PCM if not your PCM may not have been reset.

Message: Ok, it ended up being a bad injector in cylinder 1. In the process of finding that I fouled out a plug. So I put 3923 in their, then my wireset came apart, so I put new wires on their and it seems to be doing quite a bit better. Will be driving it this week and testing. Thanks for the thoughts n tips. So whats next to modify?? 1500 miles tell shes outta warranty!!!
