 Subject: Throttle Body and Malfunction light

hey guys, i need some help.....i gotta 2001 3.9, i put a 360 throttle body in off of a ram and changed the cable out.....everything went smooth but one mornin after a couple days, the malfunction light came on....and with it the power boost i was lookin for.....i've reset the computer twice and after a couple days the light will come on again.....anyone got any ideas....i think it could be the TPS because it only stays in thrid gear for a split second before it goes into overdrive.......i also put taylor wires and autolites in at the same time as this, so any wisdom from you sultans (Bernd) would be appreciated...

Check to see if you got any codes, you know do the key thing on/off 3 times, just be ready to write them down if more than one

yeah sounds like you had the same prob
as me. I have been having trouble with
the tps as well when i went to the 360
tb. what year did your tb come off of?
now you know thats..................

hey i did the key thing and i gotta p 1494 code....i looked it up and it meant that there was an improper input "1494 Leak Detection Pump (LDP) pressure switch problem - electrical or the pump itself. " anyone have any ideas what this has to do with a throttle body replacement? sic, i dunno what year it came off of, it was just hanging in my dealer's garage........if you guys have any ideas i would really appreciate it....thanx for the help.....
