i talked to a sales rep at crane about their hi6 upgrade system for my 99 3.9 dak, he said that they were having some sort of problem where that after 5to10k owners pcm's were recognizing the changes made by the unit as system errors and causing engine shut downs, he said this was true of all such units, but most co's don't tell you this. if this is true are there any ignition upgrades out there that won't do this and are a direct plug n'go systems?

Never heard of this. Since the ignition systems are installed AFTER the PCM output...it'll never know that it's there. The only time anything is noticed is the dwell time on the coil (MSD, Accel, or other multiple spark units). This is normal (Code: P0351) and doesn't hurt performance or the PCM.
I was running an MSD system for well over 40K miles and then switched over to the Accel 300+ system...and have over 20K miles on it. No problems at all.

thanks bernd, i've been checking the v6 forum out quite reg since i stumbled across it a few weeks ago and have been taking to heart alot of the info posted, and many of your comments and observations. and i'm going to look into the accel 300+ again once i get my jba headers
