Subject: why use rubber plugs? IP: Logged
Message: I was doing routine maintenance on my truck today and noticed that the rubber plug on the rear diff. was letting moisture in. Apparently i have been driving around with water in it for quite some time. I actually had to flush it out twice to get all of the moisture out. I never abuse the truck or take it off road, where is all the water coming from? I changed the factory plug to a new dana plug..It fit on their tighter. Has anyone else had problems with this?

Message: yup....had to replace that too. My truck seems to be driving better now, or its just my imagination. I would reccomend that everybody should keep an eye on their rear diff just in case.
