Subject: why use rubber plugs?
IP: Logged

Message:
I was doing routine maintenance on my truck today and noticed that the rubber plug on the rear diff. was letting moisture in. Apparently i have been driving around with water in it for quite some time. I actually had to flush it out twice to get all of the moisture out. I never abuse the truck or take it off road, where is all the water coming from? I changed the factory plug to a new dana plug..It fit on their tighter. Has anyone else had problems with this?

yup....had to replace that too. My truck seems to be driving better now, or its just my imagination. I would reccomend that everybody should keep an eye on their rear diff just in case.
