it could very well be your cat, not the catback system. mine rattled alot also and i took it to my shop and he said that it was the insides of my cat. if your running rich get a tune-up also or the new cat will be toast in 10000 miles. i learned the hard way.

try next time its in ur driveway or garage
jack the car up and give the cat a knock
(let the pipes cool down first)

Also check the heat sheald on the cats, that got lost on my friends ford and made some horrable sounds.
