Message: yo mike, sorry to burst your bubble, but a "heavily modified" accord would roast our trucks. those things are so light they can practically float. however, i do believe that you roasted a ghetto-mobile (chopped springs, fart-muffler and racing stickers), but a heavily modified ricer? not likely. i've seen some heavily modded honda's that i won't take on in my current status.
however, my best win was a "modded" early 90's civic with a blower. he tried to pass me on my favorite racing street and i showed him my tail lights. he then tried to pass me later on after the merge and i had to smoke him again. after i burned him the second time he turned left. That guy was just a punk, so i just chalk it down as a win.
my worst loss was against my friend's 2000 GT. i hadn't made any mods to my truck and he roasted me like a thanksgiving turkey. left my butt about a mile down the road. however, i can hang with him now. he traded his GT in for a V6 cuz he couldn't afford the GT anymore, and we've raced twice. i'm 1-1 against him there.

Message: I raced a 90 Chevy 350SS. We both raced at the track, we raced a total of 5 times. I bet him 3 times. He can't shift very well & he spun tires through the first 2 gears. But it's was still a win.

| Still won't be a Viper... IP: Logged
Message: For almost half the cost a Viper will most the Z8's doors off. The Z8 has a little less than 400hp and runs the 1/4 in mid-high 12s. I saw a Viper (stock) at the track run 11.7 with a set of slicks!
Justin,
It depends on which engine is in the z3. The 2.5 I6 will run the 1/4 somewhere in the mid, maybe low 15s. The 3.0 I6 will run mid 14s, which is still not fast enough for the $.
