2000 4x4 CC V6 3.92 Auto (airad+gibson) 4175lbs
vs.
1997 ext cab ranger I4 (intake and exhaust) 2600lbs
ok i had a horrible reaction off the line and I couldn't catch him...ugh...
then his gf made fun of me...
after we ate at friendly's and then we tried again... i think, but I beat him so bad that there is no way he was actually trying so i dont know and he drove away so im not sure.

man you lost to a 4 banger ranger ext cab......you have a slow @ss truck man......i beat my friends old 97 ranger 4 cyl. by 3 cars lenghts at 45 i didnt even think he was racing until he told me. now he has a del sol and i still beat him. but his ranger had to run high 18's-19's. you should still be able to beat him or there must be something wrong with your truck.

no i wasnt paying attention at the start. he wasnt gaining any ground, but i couldn't catch him. then i beat him by a lot, but im not sure if he was trying.
hp to weight ratio favors him though...i think

I'd go back to your dealer and ask him to put the 2 cylinders back in your engine that are missing. My "97 cc V-6 3.55 gears smokes all 4 and most 6 anything. The wt. to hp favors your Dak by a lot

we all should be able to take down 3.0L rangers without any problems. its even better when racing uphill because they dont have power

yea but those things hardly move i mean i couldnt even tell my friend was on it when i raced him......i had to ask if he even raced and when he said yes i was really surprised. if you cant beat a 4 banger ranger off the line you must have a problem with your truck. b/c a stock 4 banger ranger runs proably high 19's if not higher.

all i know is that i could not pass him from behind
his ranger is lightly modded and dropped too.

where did you get the idea that a ranger weighs 2600 lbs.... i mean.. my 97 honda del sol (unibody,two seater,aluminum 1.6 engine) weighs 2400 lbs...
just wondering...
btw,
i think i can push my dak faster than a 4 banger ranger

well he said 2600. he may be wrong...i dunno.
i do know that a 94 V6 S10 ext cab actaully does weigh 2700 lbs(said so on the door) so i think the number makes sense. there isnt much to a ranger, its not all that big. the current 4 cyl 2wd ranger weighs 3100. so i dont know. maybe he was wrong. besides at 3100 the weigh to hp ratio is still better. if it weighs 3400 then it would be a bit worse.
btw intense, u could probably push ur dak faster then my dak also.
i still think i would have won if i was paying attention, although he said he has beaten integras.

that number on the side of the door isnt the weight of the truck.... its the payload and passenger capacity... my mom use to have a 97 ext cab s10...
you should be able to take it if you were paying attention.
