Subject: MSD 8.5 or JBA 8.0 MM?
IP: Logged

Message:
Just wondering if should spend
$40 on the 8.0mm or $60 on the MSD 8.5's.
Right now i have either 7mm or even 6.5. will the MSD's and the new autolites 3923's(tune up time)
be a good combo for some better performence?

Also, I would like to upgrade my whole ignition setup. What all will i need? Whats the best to get?

I was thinkin about a MSD Ignition kit, but can
only fit that for 318/360 not our 239.

I mean its tune up time, might as well spend a
couple more bucks to get the better stuff.

thanks

i have the msd 6a, blaster ss, and 8.5's its a very good ignition upgrade, it didnt get any power from this but with the autolites it really smoothed out the whole powerband

sic- the only thing that you would be uprading by getting the msd setup is wires and coil, the 6a box only amplifies the ignition signal, this wont give you power like i said, but its great for your ignition, brass cap and rotor would be a good idea too, i got my msd stuff from my local speedshop, i cant remember exact prices (didnt really care) but the coil was like $45, wires were $50, and the 6a was about $140.
