Message: If you install a sneeky pete system on a 1996 3.9L the computer will automatically compensate the fuel correct? I'm just worried about running lean if i install a system and i can't really afford a wet system right now. Any thoughts?

Message: BTW how much power does this system actually produce? I know they say an extra tenth in the quarter, but how many horses is that?

Message: i wouldnt buy it, lol, it prolly produces about 10-20 reliable hp, you shouldnt have to worry about the fuel system.

Message: Actually, it's capable of up to 150HP (Sneeky Pete) with the correct jetting and bottle size.
As for the PCM compensating, 40HP max on the dry shot.

Message: Ive run the sneaky pete system for about two
months now. Definetly safe and definetly can
feel that shot kick in. I do reccomend ordering
a bigger jet for it .037 or .039

Message: Thanks, i went ahead and ordered it from Summit. I can probably drill out the jets to .037, and when i have more cash i'll get a bigger bottle, window switches, purge kit, etc.

Message: No need for a purge on the Sneeky Pete but definitely recommend a larger bottle and bottle warmer.

Message: Just another question for those of you that have had it. Is the solenoid 12V? I plan on hard wiring it instead of using the batteries.

Message: Definitely hard-wire it (it says that in the instructions). The 9V is just there if you want to be "really sneeky". ;)

Message: Thanks, the FedEx guy just dropped off the kit. Kinda sucks having the solenoid right at the bottle, since i'm mounting the bottle behind the seat. I'll have to pick up some more line and put the solenid in the engine bay. Of course then it would be a good idea to have a purge kit.
BTW, i'm making a panel that will mount in the ashtray with the arming switch on it. Should be pretty cool, it will be totally hidden till you open the ash tray.

Message: You don't have to mount the solenoid at the bottle. All you'll need is the correct fitting on the bottle and about 8-16 feet of line (depending on where you mount the bottle).
