Message: Bernd,
Tell me something about these valve bodies. It looks like a good deal if you consider the labor $ it takes to install a shift kit. Is it an easy install-> Pull pan, pull valve body then reinstall new valvebody and pan?
Do we specify the amount of firmness when we order or will it need adjusting once in the truck?

Message: Corey,
Pretty darn close to that.
Pull Pan, Pull Valve Body, Readjust band, install new valve body, reinstall pan, add fluid and additive (additive included). The resistor for the governor pressure "Check engine light" is already taken care of for you...it's integrated on the valve body harness (only included with new sensors).
Then...just send back your old valve-body for a $75.00 core refund.
The firmness can be adjusted but we've got it pretty close to the "Show off" setting already.

Message: Sweet. Its on my growing list of "To buy"!
I've read the dakotart.com instructions on installing the shift kit and that looks like a f__king nightmare. I think I can handle this. At least its preset so even if I do bring it to get installed it should take very little time. I hear a lot of guys complain about having problems and having to rework their kits a few times because a lot of shops aren't familiar with Dodge Tranny's.
Can you give a run down on what is involved with adjusting the bands. If I remember correctly its just an adjutment of a tensioner bolt.

Message: Loosing the adjuster lock nut... turn band adjuster screw clockwise to 5lb foot torque... then back off adjuster screw 1 3/4 turns... tighten the adjuster lock nut... DONE...
