 Subject: V8 TB Question

I am a little confused about the V8 TB. Here is what I am confused about.
Is an RT TB the same as any other V8 TB?
I was into the dealer here in town and asking the parts counter a few questions and he told me that the V8 TB and the V6 TB for my 99 V6 Dak were the same. From what I have read on this forum he must be wrong. But I just want to make sure.
So if anybody could please tell me if there is a difference between the RT TB and any other V8 Tb it would be greatly appreciated. As well if there is any difference between the stock V6 Tb and the stock V8 Tb, it would be greatly appreciated.

i think this is right but a stock v-6 tb is 46mm a stock v-8 (R/T and non-R/T) is 48mm, your best bet would to get a 48mm tb, and for most v-8's they move up to a 50mm or 52mm, someone correct me if im wrong!!!

YES 48mm - 5.2 -5.9 all use the same TB - RAM, DAKOTA,DURANGO.
Stock V6 42mm - 46mm veries by model yr.
Unless you have a lot of mods. you don't wnat to get to big on the V6 or you will kill your low end TQ. Best thing to do is get one, put it on don't do anything else to it just bolt on and go go go.........
part # for V8 TB is in my profile
V8 TB cable for a Dakota is # 53031556AB
only thing else you need is a TB gasket that is the same for all but the V10
