Subject: valve seals bad already??? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 92 dak with a 30,000 mile 2000 engine in it. If it sits overnight, on start-up it runs real rough and if I goose it a litle it puffs out some smoke. Then it rune fine. Is this the belly pan or valve seals?

Message: Not much to go on, you didn't say what color the smoke was.
If the smoke is bluish or gray then it is probably oil burning, black smoke would be fuel, white smoke would be water vapor or trany fluid.
Since you stated that on start-up it runs rough I assume the smoke was black and it is probably a fuel injector.

Message: It seems blue to me, I have swapped in fms 19lbs injectors already, since I had them from my mustang. Thanks
