Message: I have a 99 3.9l v6 2wd, the best mod I have done so far is to put an aftermarket exhaust on. I noticed a difference as soon as I drove it out of the muffler shop.
I went with the MBRP Super Single myself and am quite satisfied with the results.

Message: try a v8 TB. its not hard to do. it'll take you 30
min max and it lets alot more air into the engine
thus gaining low end power.

Message: Better TB (flowmetrics, or V8), Intake, Exhaust, Headers all good mods.
Really cheap with noticable improvments: Remove clutch fan and use an underdrive crank pulley, Relocate IAT sensor

Message: Gibson aluminized steel catback will cost you about $300 shipped and you can buy a used V8 TB on e-bay for around $100. If you want to go the new route for a V8 TB it'll cost you about $220 at a dealership.
