 Subject: 96 3.9L 2WD with Manual

Just paid for membership but can't figure out how
to log in, I've done the registration and all but
must be missing something. I'm Looking for
manuals for a 1996 3.9L Manual Transmission 4x2.
The truck runs but engine power drops off abruptly
at 3100 RPM. Under certain engine loading a high-
pitched noise like a turbo spooling up (no turbo).
I suspect a vacuum leak, but I've looked
everywhere around the engine and vacuum lines and
can't find anything. The truck sat for 10 years
and the truck was cannibalized during that time.
It did start right up after installing a new
battery. It was running perfectly for the former
owner, but recently just started the issue stated
above. Any help appreciated.
