Not even the mechanics can figure it
out. Engine while hot/warmed up oil
pressure likes to sit just above
minimum and picks up to almost half
when pushing higher RPM. Had a few oil
leaks that got fixed while narrowing
the problem down, so far I've spent a
grand on just trying to get oil
pressure up. Replaced gaskets, oil
pump, filters, oil, fuel injectors,
cleared oil pickup tube (was clean
anyways) oil is clean cause I change
it often. Just cleaned the headers and
put new gaskets on them, checked rods
and bearings and compression while
hot, showed good. Belts are all on and
tight, no slip.

No the engine block is not cracked.

What is going on with this thing? Been
to 7 mechanics and none of them seem
to be able to figure it out.

Sending unit for oil pressure tends to drift low
in its reading as it ages. Replace oil pressure
sending unit.
