 Subject: 05 dakota overheating

05 dakota 3.6, overheat indicator light comes on
after driven about 30 minutes but gauge does not
indicate overheating. I have changed the
thermostat and had the radiator flushed but light
still comes on after driving for about 30 minutes.
Truck does not act like it is overheating. Any
suggestions?

Did they test / check the
coolant temp sensor? Generally
this is a low cost DIY to
replace.

heat light is still coming on. Any other
suggestions?

Does your 05 have two of them?
Many trucks had 2. The "sending
unit" one has one wire, the
other, the temp sensor, has two
wires.
