Message: So driving down the road with my heater
set to blowing on the vents towards you on
the dash. When accelerating or going up
hill it will go from those vents to the
floor vents. Still warm air but doesn't
blow through the top

Message: I'm having the same issue. 3.9 V6 4x4.
Mine has had this problem off and on for the past
7 or 8 years. It's getting worse, and really want
to figure it out. I've checked the lines inside
the cab that go to all the mechanisms that change
the diverter and all seem to work ok.
At first I thought it may have been the air
control switch going bad, since I would hear a
hissing noise when I ease up on the throttle and
it would then switch the air to the correct vents.
BUT, that doesn't make sense when it only has the
issue when the vehicle is under a load.
I'm pretty sure it's on of the hoses under the
hood that leaking. My cruise control is working
fine, since it also operates on the vacuum lines.
Anyone that has seen this issue please help us
out.
