Subject: 98 dodge Dakota making tapping sound IP: Logged
Message: Hi guys, I got a 98 dodge Dakota with a bad tapping sound. I
changed the oil a few days ago and it suddenly appeared and
won't go away. I know it would make that tapping sound when
my oil pressure dropped and the check gauges came on from
it not getting oil. But my oil pressures ran at about 70 when
cold and 40 when warm. I have a feeling it's my lifters but I
have no idea. any
suggestions would be helpful thank.
