 Subject: Fuel Lines

Does anyone know what size fuel lines are on a
93 Dakota? The metal line between the fuel
filter and fuel pump is leaking and I need to
splice something in place. I'm guessing the
nylon lines coming out of the pump are 5/16?
Wrench Monkey doesn't carry any parts and
Dorman (carrries fuel line repair kits) has no
advice.
Any suggestions?

I used a 5/16" high pressure rubber fuel line
to connect the plastic line from the fuel pump
to the fuel filter. After cutting the plastic
line, the rubber line fit tightly over top and
I used two hose clamps. At the other end the
rubber line was a perfect fit for the barb on
the fuel filter. It took 3.5' of line to
bypass the corroded metal line. Once
everything was tightened up, and after a little
cranking, the truck started and has been
starting right up ever since.
