NEW to the Dakota community!
I am looking at buying a replacement heater core for my
Fiance's 3.9L 2000 Dakota Quad Cab 2WD. RockAuto has
two options - a 5/8 inch and a 2 inch core. Is there
any way to tell which one this truck would have?
I appreciate all of the help! Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!
My 98 used a 5/8 heater core and 2" evap core. Carquest and
advance both have 1" heater cores. So my bet would be the
smaller one. But if I remember correctly, when I changed my
core a while back the box was big enough to hold either size.
