Hello all. 98 Dakota, 3.9 liter, 2WD, 254k miles. I leave for work at about 6:30 in the morning here in western Iowa, and its fairly cool temperature in the AM right now. The truck starts right up, runs fine for about 30 miles of interstate and then a few miles of state highway and gravel roads. When I leave for work at around 3:30 or 4 pm, and the truck is warmer than it was in the morning, and turn the corner on to that dusty gravel road, it dies. It will start back up again for now, but it does not want to take me home after work. It will stall a few times until I finally get a little ways, and eventually it will stay running. It sucks. I figure the temperature most definitely is the key difference here. I just bought the truck at 252k (since it ran out fine and has new tires, I figured 800 dollars wasn't bad). Any thoughts?
