Subject: Replacing Oxygen Sensor IP: Logged
Message: I need to replace the upstream driver-side oxygen
sensor on my 2002 3.9L. I can only partially see
the connector and there appears to be no way to
physically reach it to dis-connect (i.e., it is in
the area between the transmission and the cab
floor.) Does anyone know a way to access the
connector? I was thinking alternatively that I
could cut the wires at the sensor and splice to the
new connector. Has anyone done it this way?

Message: No, you need to pull apart that connector.
If necessary, just pull on the cable to the sensor to bring the connection to where you can access it..
