Message: Many moons ago I had a 1993 Dakota CC 4x4 V8 auto. It was a good truck, and I somewhat regret selling it in 2008.
Now I drive a 1997 Ram 2500 CTD 2wd 5 speed with a flat bed. I like that truck. Its my heavy hauler. Winters kind of suck with the Ram as its not a 4x4 and the heat is less than good. My wife and had a third vehicle I was driving, but I sold it because we want a 4x4 pickup for our hunting and other things.
So I've been looking at this 1996 Dakota V6 CC 4x4 with a 5 speed. Question time: Is the 5 speed in that truck a AS85? I cant find any information on that. Is it a good tranny? What kind of fluid should be used? The NV4500 in my Ram is very picky on fluid so I dont want to screw that up with this truck if I get it. I am pretty familiar with the rest of the truck as(like I said) I have had a Dakota before. Thanks

it's leaking.
