Subject: 94 V6 Stock, will not crank
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 94 Dodge Dakota, V6, stock, 220,000
(+/-) miles

Other then having the Mark III package (makes
it look nice in spite of bad paint), it's a
pretty basic, 2 wheel automatic, bench seats,
etc...

Anyway, last year (April 2014 or so), it burned
out the plastic part of the EGR valve assembly.
I was able to limp it home, top speed seemed
around 35
So I replaced that part (just the plastic part)

About 2 months later, it burned out the new egr
valve
Sadly, I didn't make it all the way home that
evening (had to be towed)
So, bought the new part (both metal and
plastic)
At the same time, install new plugs (made sure
they were set per spec)
installed a new distributor and cap and plugs
Also installed a new TPS

However, it simply would not crank at all
Unfortunately, I am not much of a mechanic (and
don't have a lot of tools, yet)
But don't have a lot of funds to pay someone
either
I bought this with the hope it was simple and
clean enough I could do whatever needed to be
done

I would really like to figure it out and get
her running again because even though she has
220 k miles, she still feels and sounds great
(when she was running)
But am at my wits end

for what it's worth, I don't have to deal with
emissions where I live (live east of Atlanta,
just outside of the Metro area)

Sorry this is so long and if no one has time to
deal with it, I do understand
But any ideas or guidance provided would be
greatly appreciated

Thank you

Distributor position is not correct .
You may need someone to help you with proper
needed position..
