Subject: 1998 Dakota V6 misfires when cold IP: Logged
Message: 1998 Dakota 2wd V6 with 170k miles. Engine idles rough and constantly backfires/misses until driven 5 or so miles. Doesn't matter if I let it idle to warm up, even for 30 minutes. Have replaced computer, ignition coil, had checked out by 3 different mechanics (including 1 dealership) and still having problems.
Will throw multiple misfire codes. I just replaced the ignition coil and reset the ECU. Within 1 mile, it threw another P1391.
