 Subject: 90 Dakota won't start, no gauges, etc

We have a 1990 dodge dakota a few days ago the truck
stopped starting with the key, it can be hard started by
touching metal to metal down on the starter. Today a new
symptom popped up and all the gauges except speedometer
and indicator lights quit working. Please HELP!
